RHP Walker Buehler took a no-decision on Wednesday when he allowed two runs on five hits with eight strikeouts over six innings as the Dodgers lost to the Cubs 6-5 in extra innings.
Buehler pitched well on Wednesday, holding the Cubs down until the fifth inning when Jake Marisnick tagged him for a two-run homer. He left after six innings and was in line for the win as the Dodgers held a 3-2 advantage but the bullpen would cough up the lead. The 26-year-old now owns a stellar 3.13 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 39:2 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 innings with quality starts in 5-of-6 games. He still only has one win on the year but he should start to rack those up soon enough.
