Kenley Jansen blows the save on Wednesday

by Jon Mathisen | Red Sox Correspondent | Thu, May 6th 9:51am EDT

RHP Kenley Jansen was charged with a blown save on Wednesday when he allowed one unearned run with three walks over one inning pitched in the Dodgers 6-5 loss to the Cubs in extra innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Jansen entered in the bottom of the 10th inning to protect a one-run lead but walked the first batter he faced then threw a wild pitch. A Joc Pederson sacrifice fly scored the ghost runner and then Jansen intentionally walked the bases loaded to induce an inning-ending double play. This one wasn't really his fault on account of the ghost runner but it goes down as a blown save in the books. His job is safe.
