Andre Ethier finishes game in left field

by Eric Westlund | Thu, Apr 23rd 1:56am EDT

Andre Ethier was not in the starting lineup against ace lefty Madison Bumgarner, but he eventually replaced Scott Van Slyke in left field late in the game. He managed a clutch single in his only at-bat and represented the go-ahead run in scoring position in the top of the ninth inning.

Fantasy Impact:

With the 1-for-1 effort, Ethier is up to .276 / .371 / .483 for the season. He looks like a more interesting offensive player than Carl Crawford this year, so he may merit fantasy consideration if he overtakes Crawford on the depth chart.
