Jose Alvarado earns second save in return from suspension

by Mike Maher | Phillies Correspondent | Thu, May 6th 10:36am EDT

Phillies reliever Jose Alvarado allowed one walk and struck out two over an inning of work to earn his second save of the year in Wednesday's win over the Brewers.

Fantasy Impact:

Alvarado closed out the game instead of Hector Neris, who was unavailable after throwing 40 pitches on Tuesday. The left-hander now has two saves and 15 strikeouts over nine innings and should be first in line for save opportunities whenever Neris isn't available.
