Mark Melancon converts 11th save of the season on Wednesday

Mark Melancon earned his 11th save of the season in the Padres' win over the Pirates on Wednesday. Melancon didn't walk or strikeout anyone in the appearance.
Fantasy Impact:
Melancon continues to lead the league in saves. His strikeout rate has dipped in his last two outings, and he has yet to strike out a batter so far in May. A low strikeout rate doesn't necessarily mean Melancon can't be successful as a closer, there is just simply less room for error when he isn't missing bats. His strikeout rate is worth keeping an eye on, but there's no reason to believe Melancon will do anything other than continue to rack up saves in the coming weeks.
