In Friday's 11-4 win against the Yankees, Patrick Corbin recorded his second quality start in a row. Corbin allowed four hits, three earned runs, and zero walks with two strikeouts in six innings. He also allowed 11 hard-hit batted balls with an exit velocity of 95+ mph.
Fantasy Impact:
Overall, Corbin finished with a 22% whiff rate and 25% CSW%. Interestingly, his four-seamer had a 36% whiff rate and 37% CSW%, but his slider only had a 29% whiff rate. He was hit hard by opposing hitters, so it's worrisome that he's not eliciting whiffs on the slider.
