Jack Flaherty does it all: pitches seven scoreless, hits homer, gets win

by Lucas Spence | Tigers Correspondent | Fri, May 7th 11:08pm EDT

Jack Flaherty was sensational on Friday night, pitching seven scoreless innings against Colorado while scattering three hits and a walk and striking out six batters while picking up his league-leading sixth win of the season. Flaherty also went 1-for-2 with a solo home run at the plate.

Fantasy Impact:

Flaherty walloped an inside pitch to the left field seats in the third inning, the first homer of his terrific young career. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old remained undefeated, improving his record to a perfect 6-0 on the season with the 5-0 win over the Rockies. The right-hander has had a resounding bounce-back season after a disappointing 2020 and currently owns a 2.83 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through seven starts and has won six consecutive games. He'll face a struggling Brewers lineup next week in Milwaukee.
