David Price shelled in lopsided loss to the Yankees
by Nathan Burns | Thu, Apr 23rd 11:51am EDT
Tiger fans braving the chilly night and flurries didn't get much warmer as the Yankees sent 11 batters to the plate in the first inning and scored 6 runs before the Tigers had a chance to retaliate. Price totaled 2.1 innings, 8 earned runs, 3 walks and only 2 Ks. Price didn't make any excuses about the weather after the game. "I don't care how I feel or what the stuff feels like. I have to be able to go out there and get outs," Price said. "That's what pitchers do. That's what the great pitchers do. That's what I did not do today, and that was the result."
Fantasy Impact:
There is no reason to panic, Price owners. He is an ace and will bounce back. He is scheduled to face the Twins in Minnesota for his next start. A team he dominated for 8.2 innings and 5 Ks on Opening Day.
