Austin Slater homers and swiped a bag on Friday

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sat, May 8th 11:00am EDT

Outfielder Austin Slater went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three runs scored, two walks, and a stolen base in the Giants' 5-4 win over the Padres on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Slater wreaked havoc on Padres pitching on Friday. Reaching base three times, scoring three runs, and stealing his sixth base of the year. He ended up playing the hero for San Francisco as well as his seventh-inning solo home run off Keone Kela broke up a 4-4 tie and proved to be the game-winner. The dynamic 28-year-old has been a letdown so far from a fantasy perspective with his .212/.309/.365 batting line but he does have six stolen bases to go along with three home runs and eight RBI across 85 at-bats.
