Buster Posey continues to rake in win over the Friars

by Jon Mathisen | Sat, May 8th 11:05am EDT

Catcher Buster Posey went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two runs scored, and a pair of walks in the Giants' 5-4 win over the Padres on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

With Austin Slater on board, Posey connected on a Blake Snell fastball in the bottom of the third inning for his eighth home run of the season. He also drew two walks in this game and scored twice for the Giants. The 34-year-old backstop has looked amazing to begin the season, slashing an absurd .397/.463/.767 with eight home runs and 12 RBI over 73 at-bats. It looks like the time off (he opted out of the 2020 season) did him some good. He looks well-rested and has been a force at the plate for San Francisco.
