Manny Machado goes 1-4 on Friday

Machado continues to be a hard hitting machine this season, as all four balls he put in play on Friday were hard hit ball events. Machado currently has a .253 batting average on balls in play, which is the lowest mark of his career. When you combine that with Machado's elite exit velocity and hard hit rate numbers, it's easy to see that Machado is getting pretty unlucky early in the season. If he continues hitting the ball this hard this frequently, his numbers will bounce back. It's just a question of when. It's hard not to be frustrated with Machado's numbers considering how high is ADP was during draft season, but patience really is the best practice when it comes to Manny right now.
