Jonathan Villar steals his first base of the season on Friday
by Lucas Babits-Feinerman | Sat, May 8th 4:01pm EDT
Jonathan Villar went 2-3 with two singles, one RBI, two walks, and one strikeout.
Fantasy Impact:
Villar is batting .246, but his BABIP is a robust .351, meaning he's actually been a little lucky this season. The Mets don't run much, but Villar is one of the Major's best base stealers. With J.D. Davis on the IL, Villar is getting his shot to carve out a larger role. He's worth a flier for speed-needy teams, but only if the cost to acquire him is minimal.
