Brandon Belt hits seventh home run of the year on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sun, May 9th 12:20pm EDT

First baseman Brandon Belt went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a walk in the Giants' 7-1 win over the Padres on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Belt took Joe Musgrove deep in the bottom of the fifth inning to put San Francisco up 4-1. He also singled and scored a run earlier in the game as well. The veteran first baseman has homered three times in the last five games and has his season slash line up to .233/.358/.500 with seven home runs and 19 RBI over 90 at-bats. You could do worse than Belt, especially in an OBP league.
