Stephen Vogt picks up an RBI single on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, May 9th 12:32pm EDT

Catcher Stephen Vogt went 1-for-1 with an RBI single as the Diamondbacks lost to the Mest 4-2 on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Vogt entered the game in the top of the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter and did his job, picking up an RBI single off of Aaron Loup to pull the D-Backs to within two runs. The 36-year-old has been a serviceable reserve catcher for Arizona this season, registering a .789 OPS over 45 at-bats. Carson Kelly is off to a career year thus far so Vogt's plate appearances are limited.
