Clayton Kershaw holds Angels to just two hits over five frames

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Sun, May 9th 12:47pm EDT

LHP Clayton Kershaw earned the win on Saturday when he allowed two hits with one walk and five strikeouts over five innings in a 14-11 win over the Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

You may be wondering how Kershaw shut down the Angels in a 14-11 win but the Dodgers' spotted him eight runs in the fourth inning while every LAA run was scored vs. the LA bullpen. Kershaw was coming off of short rest after throwing just 39 pitches vs. the Cubs in Tuesday's doubleheader so this worked out as a nice bounceback for him. The veteran southpaw owns a rock-solid 2.62 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, to go along with 46 strikeouts over 44 2/3 innings. He'll get Miami at home in his next start and should represent the good chalk in that DFS slate.
