Johnny Cueto rocked by the Padres on Sunday

by Jon Mathisen | Mon, May 10th 12:55am EDT

RHP Johnny Cueto took the loss on Sunday when he was lit up for five runs on eight hits with a pair of strikeouts and a walk over three innings in the Giants' 11-1 loss to the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Cueto was making his first start since going on the injured list back on April 15 with a lat strain and did not have a welcome return. He served up a pair of home runs in the second inning to Jake Cronenworth and Fernando Tatis Jr., the latter of which was absolutely tattooed. He then allowed an RBI single to Wil Meyers in the third inning and his day was done. The poor outing raised his season ERA to 3.52 but he still has a solid 1.13 WHIP on the year. He gets a much more favorable matchup vs. the Pirates on the road in his next start.
