Dylan Cease allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven across five innings in Tuesday's 9-3 win over the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.

Outside a rough second inning, Cease was effective in Tuesday’s no-decision. He surrendered three runs on three hits and one walk in the second frame. The 25-year-old threw 97 pitches, landing 62 for strikes. He generated 20 swinging strikes and continues to rack up the punchouts in 2021. Cease has now struck out 27 batters over his last 18 innings. The 25-year-old will take a 2.80 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP in his next start on Sunday against the Royals.
