Gavin Lux plays the hero on Tuesday night

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, May 12th 12:21pm EDT

Second baseman Gavin Lux went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, two runs scored, and a strikeout as the Dodgers took down the Mariners 6-4 on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Lux played the hero on Tuesday night for the Dodgers, who were in danger of losing their eighth game in the last 10. He stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the eighth inning with Los Angeles trailing 4-3. He smacked a Rafael Montero fastball to right-center field with two runners aboard to put LA up 6-4. It was Lux's first home run of the season. The 23-year-old former top prospect has really struggled at the plate this year and is still hitting a lackluster .222/.258/.311 over 90 at-bats but perhaps this big game will get him going.
