Charlie Morton

Charlie Morton has another woeful start Thursday

by Steve Painter | Braves Correspondent | Thu, May 13th 6:53pm EDT

Charlie Morton started and pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits, three runs (all earned), and two walks while striking out four batters. It was a no-decision for him. He threw 94 pitches, 57 for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Right now, the Braves have three decent starters: Huascar Ynoa, Ian Anderson, and Max Fried. They signed Charlie Morton and Drew Smyly to provide stability to a young rotation and so far, that hasn't worked out. They do have Bryse Wilson and Kyle Wright as fill-in starters, but neither has shown much consistency, good consistency. The Braves will be in serious trouble if Morton doesn't quickly come around.
