Fantasy Impact:
This is a brutal development that seemingly came out of nowhere. Carroll was off to a fantastic start in High-A, flashing his trademark speed and control of the strike zone. There was also some power developments taking place, which is what really excited fantasy managers in dynasty leagues. Carroll could've become a borderline top-15 prospect if he kept playing this well, but tonight's news kills his momentum and greatly hurts his dynasty league value. Still, Carroll's all-around skill set and plus makeup are reasons to think he'll bounce back just fine next season.
