Daniel Lynch picks up second loss of the season in short outing

Daniel Lynch (0-2) allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out four across two 2/3 innings in Thursday’s 4-3 loss against the Tigers. He was tagged with his second loss of the season.

Lynch threw a clean first inning before unraveling in the second frame. He surrendered four runs in the second and was tagged with his second loss of the season. The 24-year-old threw 66 pitches, landing 46 for strikes. Lynch has struggled mightily since being called up on May 3rd. He owns a 15.75 ERA, 2.88 WHIP, and seven strikeouts over three appearances in 2021. Lynch is lined up to face the Brewers on Wednesday.
