Phillies starter Zach Eflin allowed five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings in Thursday's loss to the Nationals.
Fantasy Impact:
Surprisingly, Eflin's nine strikeouts were a new season-high despite the crooked numbers in the box score. He ran into some trouble in the first inning, allowing a pair of home runs, but recovered from there to complete six frames. Through eight starts, he is now 2-2 with a 3.86 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 51 strikeouts over 51 1/3 innings. His next start is currently scheduled to come against the Marlins at home.
