Tim Locastro doubles and scores a run in defeat

by Jon Mathisen | Padres Correspondent | Fri, May 14th 12:21pm EDT

Outfielder Tim Locastro went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the Diamondbacks' 5-1 loss to the Marlins on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Locastro accounted for two of the Diamondbacks' five hits in what was a quiet offensive night for Arizona. He hit a ground-rule double, his first of the year, in the fifth inning and moved to third with a Merrill Kelly sacrifice bunt. He would come around to score off of a Pavin Smith sacrifice fly after that. Locastro is slashing a paltry .125/.263/.188 since coming off the IL in early May. Prior to his thumb injury, he was batting leadoff for the D-Backs but the speedster doesn't hold as much fantasy value hitting towards the bottom of the order. He's still a name to keep eyes on in case he starts to heat up at the plate.
