David Peralta reaches three times in blowout loss

by Jon Mathisen | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, May 15th 11:48am EDT

Outfielder David Peralta went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles, a walk, and a run scored as the D-Backs were pounded by the Nationals 17-2 on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Peralta was just one of four D-Backs' batters to record a hit on Friday. This game was over from the moment it started as the Nats raced out to a 6-0 lead in the first and never looked back. It got so bad that Peralta ended up pitching an inning himself, allowing a three-run homer to Andrew Stevenson. The 33-year-old is now slashing a solid .276/.340/.470 on the year.
