Adam Wainwright gave up eight hits, six earned runs (on three home runs), three walks and struck out only two in four innings during a losing effort against the Padres on Saturday night.
Fantasy Impact:
Wainwright falls to 2-4 on the season. He surrendered homers in each of the first three innings to Tommy Pham, Ha-Seong Kim, and Austin Nola. Wainwright now sports an unimpressive 4.45 ERA and 1.35 WHIP on the season. The 39-year-old veteran will look for better results next weekend in a tough matchup against the division-rival Cubs.
