Eduardo Escobar erupts for two home runs, seven RBI in big win
by Jon Mathisen | Sun, May 16th 12:18pm EDT
Third baseman Eduardo Escobar went 3-for-5 with two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs scored as the D-Backs pounded the Nationals 11-4 on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Escobar entered Saturday mired in a 4-for-46 slump in the month of May. He broke out of that in a major way vs. the Nats. Swatting two home runs, one three-run blast, and another two-run shot. He also picked up another two RBI with a single early in the contest. Escobar is a streaky hitter and this could be the spark that starts a little run for the veteran. He's still hitting an underwhelming .213/.265/.447 with nine home runs and 27 RBI over 150 at-bats.
