LHP Alex Wood earned the win on Sunday when he allowed one run on eight hits with one walk and six strikeouts over six innings as the Giants beat the Pirates 4-1.
Fantasy Impact:
Wood just continues to roll, locking in his fourth quality start and fifth win of the season. The Pirates tagged him up for eight hits but were only able to muster one run with a Ka'ai Tom sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning. The lanky southpaw now owns an impressive 1.75 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 35:9 K/BB ratio over 36 innings (six starts). He'll face a tough test in his next start when he draws the Dodgers at home.
