Chase Anderson gets knocked around in loss to Blue Jays

by Mike Maher | Red Sox Correspondent | Mon, May 17th 8:09am EDT

Phillies starter Chase Anderson allowed seven earned runs on eight hits and one walk while not recording any strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings in Sunday's loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson had been pitching better of late after allowing six earned runs to the Rockies in Colorado, but he got knocked around early and often on Sunday and couldn't get out of the second inning. Through eight starts, the veteran right-hander now has a 6.96 ERA and 1.61 WHIP with 26 strikeouts over 32 1/3 innings. His next start is scheduled to come against the Red Sox in Philadelphia.
