The Reds placed Jeff Hoffman on the 10-day IL with a shoulder injury. Cionel Perez was called up to take Hoffman's place on the roster. (Bobby Nightengale on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Hoffman left his Wednesday start with a shoulder injury, so it's no surprise that he'll hit the IL immediately. The exact nature of the injury is unclear, but teams are often careful with shoulder injuries for pitchers, so expect Hoffman to be out of action for at least a few weeks. The big right-hander currently sits with a 4.31 ERA and 1.46 WHIP.
