Jose Trevino fails to reach base over two at-bats

by Andersen Pickard | Yankees Correspondent | Sun, May 30th 8:36pm EDT

Rangers catcher Jose Trevino went 0-for-2 while stranding one baserunner in Sunday's loss to the Mariners. He was replaced by pinch-hitter Jason Martin in the eighth inning.

Fantasy Impact:

Over the course of 39 games this year, Trevino is slashing .258/.278/.308 with nine RBI, four walks, and 28 strikeouts. Despite the solid line, the backstop has one home run and zero stolen bases, so he lacks true fantasy relevance. The 28-year-old currently ranks 48th among catchers in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
