LaMonte Wade Jr. blasts a solo shot in win on Memorial Day

by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Mon, May 31st 10:36pm EDT

First baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and one strikeout as the Giants took down the Angels 6-1 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Wade Jr. drew the start at first base and led off against Dylan Bundy. He took him in the bottom of the fifth inning for his first homer of the season. It was his only hit of the contest. The 27-year-old has been playing every day with Brandon Belt and Darin Ruf both on the injured list. He's done well for himself, slashing .350/.458/.550 over his first 20 at-bats.
