Fantasy Impact:
Alvarez has a .868 OPS this season which is well under his 1.001 career average. The problem is he isn't drawing walks, and his BB% is down from 14.1% in 2019 to 3% this season. It appears to be a small-sample size outlier because Alvarez has always been a patient hitter who draws walks at every level during his minor and major league career. It's definitely something that managers will want to keep an eye on.
