Matt Beaty drives in two runs with a homer on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Wed, Jun 2nd 3:32am EDT

Outfielder Matt Beaty went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and strikeout as the Dodgers lost to the Cardinals 3-2 on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Beaty finally put the Dodgers on the board in the bottom of the seventh inning when he took Giovanny Gallegos deep for a two-run shot to tie the ball game. It was his only hit of the night and the only two runs the Dodgers would score in the ball game. The 28-year-old has been a valuable asset for the Dodgers this season and has helped mitigate some of their injury losses. Over 88 at-bats, he's slashing .284/.376/.420 with three home runs and 25 RBI.
