Brett Anderson can't get through five innings

by Stan Son | Tue, Apr 28th 2:07am EDT

Brett Anderson was cruising along until the fifth inning where the Giants tagged him for three earned runs. He struck out three, walked two, and gave up five hits. 46-of-74 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson doesn't fool anyone with his stuff. He is about hitting his spots and using his curveball to keep batters off-balance. Unfortunately, his fastball doesn't have enough zip to keep hitters honest. Anderson could help in wins because of the defense and offense the Dodgers possess. He probably won't kill you in ERA and WHIP but won't strike out many. Purely a spot-start pitcher in the most favorable of matchups.
