Yasmani Grandal went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday’s 4-1 win over the Tigers.

Grandal belted a solo shot off Tigers pitcher Casey Mize in the seventh inning for his seventh long ball of the season. It was his first hit in over his last 10 plate appearances. Grandal has sat the bench in three of the last five games after struggling this season with a .137 batting average. The Yazmanian Devil is more valuable in points and on-base percentage leagues, slashing .137/.384/.363 across 147 plate appearances. Grandal is a prime buy-low candidate and currently sixth among all catchers in the latest ROS expert consensus rankings.
