John King throws 1.2 scoreless innings

by Andersen Pickard | Cardinals Correspondent | Sat, Jun 5th 7:23am EDT

Rangers reliever John King entered in the sixth inning and had a solid outing, allowing just one hit and zero runs over 1.2 innings of work on Friday. He also struck out one Tampa Bay batter.

Fantasy Impact:

King has been very good this year, pitching to a 5-3 record through 20 relief appearances. He's accrued a 1.82 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, and .276 OBA so far in addition to five walks and 25 strikeouts. Despite his reliability on the mound, King has had just one save opportunity (zero saves), so he's not worth rostering in fantasy leagues.
