Liam Hendriks picks up the win Friday

Liam Hendriks (2-1) retired the only batter he faced to earn the win during Friday’s 9-8 win over the Tigers.
Fantasy Impact:
Hendriks entered the game in the top of the ninth inning to preserve an 8-8 tie. He got Niko Goodrum to fly out to the left-field to keep the game tied 8-8. Yermin Mercedes delivered a walk-off single in the ninth inning, rewarding Hendriks with the win. The 32-year-old has been dominant in 2021, owning a 1.93 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and a 38:3 K: BB across 23 1/3 innings in 2021. Hendriks is also 14-for-16 in save opportunities this season.
