Mike Minor (4-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five across seven innings during Saturday’s 5-4 loss to the Twins. He was tagged with his third loss of the season.

After posting back-to-to-back quality starts, Minor labored through seven innings and was hurt by the long during Saturday’s loss. He surrendered three home runs, including a mammoth two-run shot to Miguel Sano that hasn’t landed yet. The 33-year-old threw 91 pitches, firing 61 for strikes. Minor owns a 4.84 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 73:23 K: BB across 67 innings in 2021. Meener will look for better results in Wednesday’s road start against the Angels.
