The New York Mets defeated the Miami Marlins on Monday, 3-1. The win improved the Mets to 15-5 on the season. The Mets got their runs on a three-run home run by Daniel Murphy in the ninth inning. It was Murphy's only hit of the day. Murphy is batting .174 so far this season.
