Staumont landed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained knee. He threw a bullpen session on Thursday and had no setbacks. Staumont was activated on Sunday and is expected to reclaim his role as the Royals closer. The 27-year-old owns a 2.78 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts across 22 2/3 innings in 2021.
