by Jon Mathisen | Giants Correspondent | Sun, Jun 6th 9:29pm EDT

First baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks, and two strikeouts as the Giants fell to the Cubs 4-3 on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Wade Jr. put San Francisco on the board in the bottom of the first inning when he took Kyle Hendricks deep for his third home run of the season. He's hit all three of his homers in the last week while batting out of the leadoff spot. He also reached two more times with a pair of walks on the day. He's now batting .270/.386/.541 to go along with three home runs and five RBI over 37 at-bats. He's taking advantage of the playing time with Brandon Belt on the injured list.
