Griffin Canning gives up just one earned run in 6-1 win over Royals

Griffin Caning (5-4) gave up one earned run on five hits, two walks, and six strikeouts over 6.2 innings pitched en route to a 6-1 victory over Kansas City.
Fantasy Impact:
Wednesday marked one of Canning's best starts of the year, giving up just one earned run or less for the third time this season. Over his last two starts, Canning give up seven earned runs over 9.1 innings pitched, but Wednesday was a vast improvement in the right direction. Canning is sporting a 5.22 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP this season, and as such, should remain on waivers for the time being.
