White Sox second baseman Nick Madrigal has been placed on the 60-day injured list with a proximal tear of his right hamstring. (James Fegan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Madrigal suffered the injury attempting to run out a soft grounder to third base, and the true severity of the injury has yet to be determined. Madrigal had a complete tear of one of the three tendons connected to the hamstring and partially tore another. He will be re-evaluated in a week to determine whether season-ending surgery is necessary. Best case scenario, Madrigal will sit out for the next six weeks. Brian Goodwin has been called up in a corresponding move.
