Evan White (hip) scratched from rehab appearance

Mariners first baseman Evan White was supposed to make a rehab appearance in Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday. However, he was scratched from the lineup after "he didn't feel right during BP." (Mike Curto on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

It's hard to gauge the severity of this, but it's obviously not ideal. Of course, the point of a rehab appearance is to ensure a player is 100 percent before returning and give them a chance to face Triple-A opponents before returning to the majors. With White not at 100 percent, Tacoma had no choice but to scratch him from the lineup. This is worth monitoring but doesn't pose too much of a concern unless he gets scratched again throughout the weekend. White was slashing just .144/.202/.237 prior to injuring his hip nearly one month ago.
