LHP Jake McGee earned the win in game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader when he worked a scoreless seventh inning while striking out three in the Giants' 2-1 win over the Nationals.

The Giants and Nats were locked in a 0-0 tie heading into the seventh inning in game 2 of their doubleheader on Saturday. McGee entered into the contest in the bottom half of the frame and whiffed Kyle Schwarber, Josh Harrison, and Yan Gomes in order. The Giants would put two runs on the board in the eighth inning and hold the lead to credit McGee with the win. The veteran southpaw now owns a 3.62 ERA and 0.95 WHIP with 34 strikeouts over 27 1/3 innings on the year.
