Kris Bubic (1-2) allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across four 2/3 innings during Sunday’s 6-3 loss to the Athletics. He was tagged with his second loss of the season.

Bubic was hurt by the long ball and surrendered three home runs in Sunday’s loss to the Athletics. The 23-year-old has now allowed 14 runs over his last 12 innings, including eight home runs during that stretch. Bubic owns a 4.01 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, and a 37:21 K: BB across 42 2/3 innings in 2021. The southpaw will look to turn things around in his next start at home against the Red Sox.
