Tyler O'Neill delivers go-ahead RBI double in win over Marlins

by Lucas Spence | Red Sox Correspondent | Mon, Jun 14th 11:47pm EDT

With the game tied 2-2, Tyler O'Neill played the role of hero on Monday night, driving in the go-ahead run with an RBI double off the left field wall in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Cardinals the lead on their way to a 4-2 victory over Miami.

Fantasy Impact:

O'Neill should have had another RBI earlier in the game as well, as he lined a shot into the left center field gap for a two-out double, but Dylan Carlson was gunned down at home on a botched play when he was tagged out after failing to step on home plate. O'Neill finished the evening 2-for-4 with an RBI and raised his OPS to an extremely-impressive .960 in what is shaping up to be a true breakout season for the 25-year-old outfielder.
