Paul Goldschmidt hits walk-off homer in bottom of the ninth inning

It was Paul Goldschmidt's turn to play the role of hero for the Cardinals on Tuesday night as the veteran first baseman slugged a game-winning, walk-off solo home run to right center fielder to propel the Cardinals to a 2-1 win over the Marlins.

Fantasy Impact:

Goldschmidt finished the night 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base (his fifth of the season). The home run, a drive out to right center field off of Marlins closer Yimi Garcia, was his ninth of the year. It's been a rough season for Goldy so far in 2021 (.252 AVG, .735 OPS), but he's now logged a pair of homers and stolen bases in the past week. He's also notched two straight multi-hit games, so perhaps he's about to go on one of his patented hot streaks.
