Alex Young gives up three runs in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Reds Correspondent | Wed, Jun 16th 1:11am EDT

LHP Alex Young took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed three runs on five hits with one walk and two strikeouts across four innings as the Diamondbacks lost to the Giants 9-8.

Fantasy Impact:

Young was making his first start of the season and pitched well enough to keep Arizona in the game. He allowed all three of his runs in the second inning with a Steven Duggar two-run blast accounting for most of the damage. The 27-year-old southpaw now owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 32:16 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings (27 appearances, one start). He would face the Dodgers on Sunday at home if he's given another start.
