Sammy Long surrenders four runs over five innings of relief

LHP Sammy Long didn't factor into the decision on Tuesday when he allowed four runs on five hits with one walk and three strikeouts across five innings of relief in the Giants' 9-8 win over the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Long inherited quite a mess from opener Zack Littell on Tuesday. Littell didn't record an out while allowing four runs in the first inning so Long entered with runners on first and second and no outs. He was able to strike out Josh Reddick and get Nick Ahmed to ground into a double play to end the inning. He would go on to pitch four more innings while allowing four runs of his own. He struck out three and walked one. The Giants were able to stage a comeback against the lowly Diamondbacks so Long did enough to help secure the win. The rookie is slated to pitch again over the weekend against the Phillies. He has a 5.00 ERA over nine innings pitched thus far.
